About Our Founder

Bespoke expertise forged at the bedside and refined in the courtroom.

Our founder, Nick Ivanov, is a legal nurse consultant and emergency & critical care nurse based in San Francisco. For the past several years he has collaborated with high‑profile law firms across the country, helping them decipher complex medical records and win multimillion‑dollar settlements and verdicts. In his current role at Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein, LLP, he analyses medical records, crafts timelines and reports, supports depositions and trials, and consults on case strategies for mass tort, medical malpractice and personal injury matters.

Before founding this boutique consulting practice, spent almost a decade as a bedside nurse in high‑acuity environments. He currently serves the San Francisco Department of Public Health, provides operations leadership to remote healthcare projects and has worked in emergency rooms at Cedars‑Sinai and The George Washington University Hospital. These frontline experiences give him deep insights into standards of care and the realities of clinical practice.

He is certified as a Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN), in Emergency (CEN), Trauma (TCRN) and Pediatric Emergency (CPEN) Nursing.

Across his career, Nick has consulted on a wide range of high‑profile matters spanning consumer product liability, defective medical devices, pharmaceuticals, environmental exposures, youth mental‑health issues and corporate fraud. Representative matters include product‑liability suits over personal‑care chemicals linked to cancer, hearing‑protection devices and hip implants with design defects, misrepresented genetic testing and weight‑loss drugs with undisclosed side effects, unapproved blood‑purification technology, social‑media and cannabis‑related mental‑health claims, abuse in behavioral‑health facilities, occupational diseases like silicosis, community‑wide lead and chemical contamination and large‑scale healthcare fraud and antitrust investigations.
